The Klínovec lookout tower is a popular and frequently visited place for tourists. It offers a beautiful view of the entire Krušné hory Mountains. In perfect conditions you can see Šumava, Lusatian Mountains or even Ještěd.
Klínovec with its 1244 m above sea level is the highest mountain of the Ore Mountains. It is the 4th most prominent Czech mountain. The Klínovec lookout tower is also the highest lookout tower in the Ore Mountains.
The lookout tower is definitely worth a visit and we would like to tell you a trick how you can get to it for free. Do you have an excellent student or pupil at home? Your son or daughter can go to the tower for free. A copy or photo of your report card is your ticket to the Klínovec lookout tower from 30 June to 6 July. And we recommend that you keep your ticket. By presenting it, you will receive a 10% discount at the Klínovec Rope Centre.
The tower is a stone’s throw from our accommodation. You can go on foot (4.2 km), by car or by bike. From the top of Klínovec you can then ride your bike along the longest trails in Europe. If you don’t have your own bike, it’s not a problem to rent one right at the top of the mountain.
